Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has mourned the death of renowned academic and rights activist, Dr. Yima Sen.
Ortom in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase said it is a huge loss to Benue State and the rest of Nigeria.
He described Dr Sen as someone who stood for the truth, justice and spoke fearlessly to see that the country guaranteed improved standard of living for the downtrodden.
He stated that the deceased impacted positively on many lives through his lectures in universities and erudite speeches at public gatherings, stressing that the legacy left behind by Dr Yima Sen will live for ages and benefit generations yet to come.
He prayed to God to grant the soul of the late academic eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
