Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo jokes only way Wolves can stop James Ward-Prowse scoring a free-kick is by praying

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has joked it will take divine intervention to stop James Ward-Prowse from scoring a free-kick.
Wolves host the Saints in the FA Cup fifth round on Thursday night and will be looking to contain the England midfielder, who is deadly from set-pieces.

Five of Ward-Prowse’s six goals have come from direct free-kicks this season, with his latest strike coming in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Newcastle.
And Nuno has jovially suggested his players will need to pray to deny Ward-Prowse.
He said: “How do you stop it? A good wall, and then prevent the ball going inside your goal – and pray!
“He is a specialist. He is a very good kicker of the ball. He has shown his quality.
“It can happen, a foul is a foul, and you have to just prepare yourself, organise your wall properly and then do your job.”
Southampton have lost four successive Premier League games, including a 9-0 thrashing to Manchester United.

But Nuno is still expecting a tough test from Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
He said: “All the teams during this season have tough, tough moments, but that doesn’t take away the quality and the talent of the squad of Southampton.
“It is a very talented squad, a very good manager. We know in football anything can change from one game to the other.
“It’s a new game, it’s not what’s important, [what was] before. Let’s compete. And it’s the FA Cup, we want to compete well.”
