‘Tottenham have gone way in front of Arsenal, there’s no comparison’ – Harry Redknapp claims Spurs will be ‘too strong’ for Gunners in north London derby

Harry Redknapp believes the north London derby will only finish one way this weekend – a Tottenham victory – saying Spurs ‘have gone way in front’ of rivals Arsenal.
It will be unfamiliar territory for Arsenal as they make the short trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday, with the Gunners clear underdogs in this latest white vs red grudge match.
There is perhaps the greatest gulf between the two clubs in the table in recent memory, with Jose Mourinho’s men flying high at the Premier League summit, where they top defending champions Liverpool on goal difference.

Arsenal, meanwhile, sit in lowly 14th place after a poor start to the season that has seen Mikel Arteta’s side pick up just four wins from their opening ten games.
Redknapp has consistently backed Spurs as surprise contenders for the title this season, but very few could have predicted this swing of power.
And the former Spurs boss, who tempted fate on Friday’s talkSPORT Breakfast, believes it’s now clear north London is white… by some distance.
“Tottenham have got a good squad,” he told Alan Brazil and Gunners legend Ray Parlour, who didn’t exactly argue with him.

“They’ve got strength in depth, they’ve got two internationals for every position, it’s a very different looking Tottenham squad and it’s very strong.
“I think they’ve got a real chance [of winning the title] .
“The two squads now, there’s no comparison, for me. I think Tottenham have gone way in front of Arsenal as a team.
“I think Arsenal are where I expected them to be, I think they’ll finish up in the top seven or eight, but just about.

“Arteta has got a long job on his hands, I like him but it’s not an easy one, and I think their team is well short.
“I’ve watched them over the last few weeks and I wouldn’t compare them with Tottenham, I think Tottenham will be too strong for Arsenal.”
