‘Silky’ West Ham star Declan Rice reads the game BETTER than Liverpool midfielder Fabinho as Chelsea target ‘Rolls Royce’

talkSPORT host Adrian Durham has described West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as a ‘Rolls Royce’ who reads the game better than Liverpool star Fabinho.
The England international, 21, has emerged as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders this season with regular outstanding solo displays for the Hammers.

It’s quite clear that Rice can become one of the country’s best midfield players, having already established himself as a regular in Gareth Southgate’s starting XI.
Not only does the Englishman cover every blade of grass and recover possession, his fabulous technique and incredible range of passing is beginning to flourish in a West Ham team which has defied expectation this season.
But it’s his football brain which impresses Durham. He told Drive on Tuesday: “When you say workmanlike… Rolls Royces aren’t workmanlike!
“He’s not going to get you 20/25 goals a season, but there’s a way he plays which is silky and gorgeous.

“What he does, in a way people don’t really notice because he doesn’t throw himself into tackles head first, is disrupt the play because he knows what’s going to happen before anybody else.
“I would say his reading of the game is better than Fabinho’s – and he’s one of the best in the Premier League.”
It’s no wonder Chelsea have made Rice their only January target as they look to bring their former academy kid back to Stamford Bridge.
But rather than a move to the Blues, talkSPORT host Tony Cascarino believes Rice could join Man United some day in the future.
Reflecting on a performance earlier this season, Casc said: “He just stunk of a Manchester United signing to me. I was sat there thinking, ‘Wow!’”
