Man City will finish above Tottenham this season despite brilliant start by Jose Mourinho’s side, Tony Cascarino says

Man City will still finish above Tottenham this season despite the result of their game on Saturday, Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT.
Spurs were impressive in their 2-0 win against Pep Guardiola’s side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with goals coming form Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso.

It sent Jose Mourinho’s side top of the Premier League and eight points clear of City, who are surprisingly down in 11th place.
Despite that, Cascarino told Weekend Sports Breakfast that the Manchester club will still finish higher.
He said: “They’ve (Spurs) got a massive test coming up. They’ve got six games that are very difficult. They’ve got three London derbies, so that’s Chelsea away, Palace and Arsenal. Then Liverpool, Wolves and Leicester.
“So they have six incredibly difficult games. If you said to me today, who would finish higher City or Spurs? I would still say City because there’s still a lot of questions to be answered about Spurs.
“City will still finish above them.”

Cascarino also believes that Spurs fans are now buying into the way Mourinho is doing things at the club.
They are desperate to end their wait for a trophy having not won anything since 2008.
Cascarino added:  “Jose has been a brilliant manager, he’s won trophies. Even in his down time at Man United where it didn’t really work out he still won two trophies.
“You have to recognise that and obviously Daniel Levy and the Spurs fans know what he’s done, he managed one of their arch rivals.

“Jose has got an incredible habit of trying to reinvent something, he did it at Inter Milan in many different ways, okay they were a competitive side when they won the Champions League at the time.
“I’ve heard a lot of listeners on the radio coming on and talking about how they never thought they would be close to loving what Mourinho would be but it’s amazing how winning football matches make people react in a slightly different way.”
