‘Man City will come calling for Harry Kane’ and ‘Tottenham fans wouldn’t begrudge him leaving’ believes Jamie O’Hara, who says striker wants Premier League title and Alan Shearer’s goal record

Tottenham’s FA Cup defeat to Everton has only led to further questions about Harry Kane’s future at the north London club.
Kane got on the scoresheet but it wasn’t enough to see through Spurs, who lost 5-4 in a crazy cup tie at Goodison Park.

It means Spurs’ hopes of winning the FA Cup are over for another year and although they’re through to the Carabao Cup final, it’s a significant blow in Kane’s pursuit of a trophy.
He’s yet to win any silverware as a pro despite being one of the world’s best strikers over the past few years.
It’s been suggested Kane will have to leave Spurs in order to achieve this and Ally McCoist believes joining Manchester City would be good for the forward if he decides to quit the Lilywhites.
The talkSPORT host said: “He loves Spurs, and in this day and age there’s something refreshing about it.
“He’s playing with the club he loves, he’s doing well, he’s a top, top player. He’s got a big decision to make.

“The only club you’d think he could move to in the United Kingdom right now and he’d be guaranteed to win things would be Manchester City.
“I wouldn’t be ruling that move out, because I think Manchester City could still do with, in the absence of Aguero, an out-and-out centre forward goalscorer. He’s a player that could easily play in the Manchester City team.”
One of the main appeals of staying at Spurs would be to break the club’s all-time goalscoring record which currently belongs to Jimmy Greaves. Kane is now second in the charts with 209 strikes.
However, Jamie O’Hara believes Kane is actually targeting a Premier League title – as well as Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goalscoring record.
The former Tottenham player also believes fans wouldn’t begrudge Kane of a move to City as much as they’d love to see him stay.
O’Hara said: “I think he wants to win a Premier League title. I don’t think he wants to go out to Spain.

“I think he wants Alan Shearer’s record and he wants to win a Premier League. I think Man City are definitely going to come calling.
“As much as Spurs fans would love him to stay, how could they begrudge someone who’s been at the club and who’s been a loyal servant?
“He’s done everything he can to try and get them to win a Premier League and we’re just not good enough and I don’t think we’re ever going to be good enough in this era.
“They’re never going to be good enough to dominate; it’s always going to be City, Liverpool or Manchester United.”
