City earlier this week made it 13 successive wins in all competitions, while Liverpool suffered a shock defeat to Brighton on Wednesday which means they are only one point clear of West Ham in fifth.
A defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side today would see Liverpool a massive ten points behind City, who also still have a game in hand over Jurgen Klopp’s men.
