Liverpool are keeping tabs on a free-scoring attacker as Jurgen Klopp plans a summer rebuild of his struggling squad.
Pedro Goncalves, who plays for Sporting in Portugal, has netted a remarkable 14 Primeira Liga goals in just 15 games this season, featuring in attacking midfield and on both wings.

The 22-year-old has also chipped in with two assists, helping Sporting to the top of the table with 14 wins and no defeats after 17 matches.
Goncalves’ eye-catching performances have Sporting bracing themselves for bids, but Record say the Liga NOS leaders intend to keep their in-form attacker.
However, Liverpool made ‘informal contact’ with the young forward during the January transfer window and they continue to track Goncalves, who spent two years at Wolves earlier in his carer but made only a single Carabao Cup appearance.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in a huge rut right now, losing each of their past three home Premier League matches to fall ten points behind leaders Man City in the table.
The Reds appear to need freshening up and the Mirror say Klopp is planning a rebuild, and Goncalves is on his radar.
Goncalves has a £53m (€60m) release clause in his Sporting contract, and 50 per cent of any transfer fee must be paid to the 22-year-old’s former club Famalicao.
