Kylian Mbappe lauds ‘best in world’ Neymar as PSG star hints he could also stay at Parc des Princes amid Liverpool and Real Madrid links

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has lauded Neymar as the ‘centre of the club’s project’ after the Brazilian forward signed a new contract at the Parc des Princes.
The 29-year-old joined the French champions from Barcelona in a world-record £198million deal in 2017, but has been repeatedly linked with a return to his former club or LaLiga champions Real Madrid.

However, in a blow to the LaLiga giants, the forward pledged his future to PSG and Mbappe prior to Sunday’s shock 3-2 Ligue 1 defeat to Lorient.
Mbappe has similarly been tipped to leave PSG, with Liverpool and Real heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
However, he has hinted he may follow Neymar’s lead in signing a new contract as he talked up his relationship with superstar team-mate Neymar.
“I’ve always thought that great players were made to play together – and that’s clear between us two,” Mbappe told France Football.

“Our roles were established when I arrived in Paris: Neymar is the centre of the project and I’m here to help him.
“[This is] because when I arrived at PSG, I was only an emerging star and I had to prove myself on the pitch.”
Mbappe has netted a staggering 106 goals and added 54 assists in 148 appearances for PSG.
Only Robert Lewandowski (186) and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi (206) have registered more goal involvements than him since his debut for the club in September, 2017.
Mbappe appears to have the choice of going to Liverpool or Real Madrid after PSG but could stay with Neymar
Neymar, meanwhile, has continued his fine form this season, netting six goals in ten Ligue 1 appearances this term.
And Mbappe believes his teammate is now the ‘best player in the world.’
“Neymar knows how to do everything,” Mbappe added. “He’s the best in the world.
“When he arrived in Paris, we realised everything he could do. He’s not a player simply for putting on a show and dancing when you’re winning 5-0. He also knows how to do spectacular things at 0-0.
“I don’t know if everyone is aware, but Neymar understands everything. He has an instinct that makes him know how to do everything straight away.”
