‘I missed him’ – Heung-Min Son delights in Harry Kane’s return as they helped Spurs get back to winning ways

Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son has admitted he was delighted by Harry Kane as both he and the team had missed him a lot.
Kane and Son got the goals in Spurs’ 2-0 win over West Brom, easing their current plight, having lost their last three games in the Premier League.

England captain Captain Kane was injured in the first of those, a 3-1 loss to Liverpool, and could only watch on helplessly as they were beaten by Brighton and Chelsea in the next two matches.
But returning ahead of schedule from his ankle problems, the 27-year-old became the club’s joint-second highest scorer, netting his 208th strike for the club.
He was also a helping hand in Son’s goal, chesting the ball to Lucas Moura who sped away and laid on the assist.
And the South Korean couldn’t hide his delight that his teammate had returned.

Son told BT Sport: “I mean, always injuries are bad news for any other player but especially Harry, he’s so, so important for us. We know that Harry is one of the best strikers in the world so, obviously, it was only a couple of games but we missed him a lot.
“Him coming back and scoring a goal straight away, this is what we needed, especially when I play with him, it’s enjoyable. Obviously I miss him. I miss him and I’m so grateful playing with him. I’m happy that he scored again.”

It was vital Spurs won considering their winless run, and a dominant performance on home soil was welcomed by Son.
He added: “I think what we saw, the lads wanted to win this game, obviously we had a couple of bad results in a row, so I think it was very important to bounce back and get back to winning ways.
“The lads completely deserved the three points.”
