Hugo Lloris branded ‘lettuce wrists’ as Tottenham goalkeeper makes mistake against Everton in FA Cup – ‘Take it the face if you have to!’

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was branded ‘lettuce wrists’ following an FA Cup blunder that saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin score.
Spurs enjoyed a brilliant start in their fifth round clash against Everton at Goodison Park as Jose Mourinho’s side took the lead inside three minutes through Davinson Sanchez’ header.

But they went to pieces in the first-half in an astonishing collapse, with the hosts eventually leading 3-1 after a series of individual errors from the north London side.
Lloris was at fault for the equaliser as he failed to get a firm hand on Calvert-Lewin’s volley, which went through the goalkeeper’s hands and into the net.
Richarlison then took advantage of some static defending with a lovely arrowed finish to make it 2-1, which gave Lloris no chance as he fired into the corner.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg continued his recent run of poor form by conceding a penalty, which former Spurs ace Gylfi Sigurdsson cooly converted.
Anything can happen in the FA Cup, though, and Tottenham proved the old adage true as Erik Lamela pulled one back to make it 3-2 with the final kick of the first-half.

Sanchez then scored again just minutes into the second-half to make it 3-3, to set up a stonking second-half of a brilliantly barmy cup tie.
But talkSPORT pundit Trevor Sinclair went in hard on Lloris at the half-time break, as he blasted the Frenchman for his latest big blunder.
“Lloris will be very disappointed with that,” said the former England midfielder at Goodison. “It looks like it’s gone right through him.
“It’s a good strike, Calvert-Lewin has hit it well, but it’s lettuce wrists from Lloris.
“He’s got to keep that ball out. Stronger wrists, be a bit braver, put your body on the line – take it in the face if you have to!

“He didn’t look comfortable trying to save that.
“I mean, his teammates… especially his defenders who are fighting tooth and nail to keep the ball out of the net, they look at that shot going straight through your goalkeeper…
“You must be thinking ‘what is the point?’ Really poor, that, from Hugo Lloris.”
