Huge blow for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as Thiago Silva limps off in some discomfort against Tottenham Hotspur during London derby

Thomas Tuchel was dealt a massive blow in his first London derby as Chelsea boss after watching Thiago Silva limp off against Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Paris Saint-Germain captain has been a revelation for the Blues since arriving in west London on a free in the summer.

However, new boss Tuchel will be sweating on the fitness of the 36-year-old after he pulled up with with appeared to be a hamstring injury in the first half.
Silva displayed tremendous athleticism and skill to intercept a through ball intended for the dangerous Heung-min Son, leaping into the air to divert the ball away.
But the veteran centre-half lay on the sodden turf in clear discomfort after making the clearance and soon gestured to the bench he was unable to continue.
Tuchel had no choice but to make an enforced change, with Andreas Christensen brought on to replace the Brazilian as he hobbled down the tunnel.

Silva’s departure ruined what was otherwise looking like a fantastic start for Chelsea against bitter rivals Spurs, with Jorginho giving the visitors the lead from the spot.
Eric Dier was the guilty culprit as he brought down Timo Werner in the box with a clumsy challenge, leaving Jorginho with the simple task of slotting past Hugo Lloris.
