Harry Redknapp makes Bournemouth return to become Jonathan Woodgate’s assistant as club searches for next permanent manager

Harry Redknapp has accepted a role to become Jonathan Woodgate’s assistant at Bournemouth, it has been announced.
The 73-year-old, who managed the Cherries between 1983-92, makes a return to the south coast club on a temporary basis.

He’s doing it to lend a hand to Woodgate, who he coached when in charge of Tottenham, while the Championship side search for a new permanent boss after sacking Jason Tindall last week.
“Jonathan Woodgate played under me at Spurs and he’s a great lad. He asked me to come in for a few days and watch them train and just to be around the place for a few days helped me keep my eye on things for him.”
